Just incase there are some tickets you've had your eyes on for a while, the boss just lowered pretty much ALL of our ticket prices!!! Now is your chance to get those great holiday deals you've been waiting for! We even have gift certificates! What a better gift than tickets to their favorite event?! I know where I'm getting my gifts! ;) shhhh..

I would also like to add that the majority of the Ticket Queens here in our office, are now fans of Jamba Juice!! I've been obsessed with those smoOthies since the first day I tried one. Today 4/5 of us got smoOthies for lunch and LOVED them. Big surprise right? How could you not!?

Here it is- The tattoo my friend just got on her foot! OUCH! Now that is a loyal fan!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

Now that the Vikings are #1 in our division, I'm actually pretty excited to see how they do the rest of the season! After the last few games, it seems like they have improved their defense and even stepped up their game in offense. I've also noticed another slight spike in Vikings ticket sales! Oh and one of my friends that I used to work with, that LOVES them, just got a tattoo of a Viking on her foot. I'll try to post the pic if I can... Until then, keep your fingers crossed and don't forget to check out our great holiday deals on tons of great events! LETS GO VIKINGS!!! Make us proud!!

Big Win for the Vikings!!

Road wins are usually pretty difficult to come by because of the unfriendly environment and variety of miscues that typically accompany playing a team in its home stadium. But that didn't stop the Vikings from making yesterday's game their 2nd road victory of the season, moving them to 6-5. This means they're still deadlocked in a tie for first place with the Chicago Bears, and a half-game ahead of the Green Bay Packers. This Sunday presents a huge game against the two teams, who will face one another at the Metrodome. Apparently this is what Vikings fans have been waiting for because we've already had a noticeable jump in Vikings ticket sales! This could turn out to be our most important game of the year! Don't wait too long for this one, as they definitely won't last. Let's go VIKINGS!!!

Wild Ticket Prices for Tonight's Game

For all of you that have been waiting for our Wild ticket prices to drop, we only have a few tickets left and we will not be dropping the price anymore. So if you're interested or have your eye on certain seats, I'd grab those Wild tickets right now because they will not be available too much longer! And remember, tickets can be picked up right by the Xcel Energy Center at our St. Paul office, located at 186 West 7th Street. Tonight will be a great game! GO WILD!!

Love Is In The Air at Ticket King... Again!!

Okay, now things must be getting serious... Nicole got flowers again yesterday and they were RED ROSES! Along with a cute little teddy bear.. Awwwww!! I actually got it on video with my phone so it's not the best quality but it works! I'll try to post the videos later ;) We don't really know what the occasion was (and Nicole said there wasn't one which makes it even sweeter if so) but Phil is definitely scoring brownie points with her. He also popped into the office later in the afternoon to get Nicole's keys and I'm pretty sure I heard a kiss! I don't really know why it's so fun to tease her but it is. Maybe because love is so cute and innocent in this stage? Oh and get this... She just walked into work today, wearing Phil's new coat!! oOoOoOo

HUGE Events This Weekend!

Wow, this is going to be a very exciting weekend for the Twin Cities! We begin the weekend tonight with the highly anticipated Coldplay concert at the Xcel Energy Center! There is also the tribute band Australian Pink Floyd playing at the State Theatre, which I think would be an awesome show! And lastly is a Gopher basketball game against Concordia (click here for tix). Then tomorrow afternoon we have a Gopher hockey game against Michigan, A Prairie Home Companion is at the Fitzgerald Theater, the Timberwolves play at the Target Center against the Portland Trail Blazers (check out our very affordable tickets here), the Wild also play at Xcel against the Columbus Blue Jackets (Wild tickets are here), Brian Wilson will be at the State Theater, the Gophers have another basketball game against the Bowling Green Falcons, and there is a Wicked show at the Orpheum! Now that is one very busy Saturday! But that's not all.. Sunday there is another Wicked show, along with another Gopher hockey game (tickets here) followed by another Gopher basketball game. Go TEAMS!! Keep in mind that we do still have a few tickets left for most of these events, so if you're still thinking of going, it's not too late! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Great Holiday Shows!

Now that the holidays are right around the corner, there are plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy this time of year by attending one of the many holiday shows! Many of the local holiday celebrations will have a definite Swedish flavor, influenced by the early Swedish settlers. If you've never seen the Nutcracker, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, A Christmas Carol or A Sugar Plum Dream, now is a great time to purchase tickets, as we have a great selection of events for you to choose from! A friend of mine just saw the Rockettes and loved it! Unfortunately they don't have anymore shows scheduled in the twin cities area but there are plenty of other shows to attend. Jingle Ball is another very popular concert being put on by KDWB. Get your Jingle Ball tickets here! What a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

So I just heard that the high temperature for the next week is going to be 40 degrees... I guess that means fall is officially over. Dangit, that was quick! I've lived here all my life and I still can't bring myself to get used to the cold weather. I've accepted the fact that it's GOING TO BE COLD here.. but when this time of the year comes, I can't help but cringe and wish I could instantly fly somewhere warmer. Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays, and even the snow sometimes.. But BURRRRR!!! I guess it could always be worse. Then there's always the sicknesses that come along with the weather.. I'm actually just getting over a cold myself. Hopefully everyone got their flu shots this year so we won't have to worry about that too much. If not, it's not too late! I must admit though, that I am looking forward to the holidays and the crazyness of the holiday shopping season!! Woo hooo!!

Tomorrow's Gopher Tickets Are Hot!!

We currently have GREAT prices for Gopher hockey tickets! The game tomorrow against New Hampshire seems to be a very popular one, as our tickets have been going faster than usual this week. New Hampshire is ranked in the top 10 in the country right now so we can see why! Get your tickets soon because we only have a few left. I think this will be a very fun game to attend if you're a fan of either team. Let's hope the Gophers can take over N.H's lead and make us even more proud! GO GOPHERS!!

I promise you won't find a better deal than this! If I wasn't working that day, I'd definitely be there! This is a game any fan won't want to miss, and luckily for you, we do still have a good selection to choose from. But remember, the longer you wait, the less there is to choose from. And they have been going fast this week, so get your Vikings football tickets NOW!! :)

Have You Voted Yet???

So, the big day has FINALLY come!! I don't know about everyone else but I'm sure ready for this political race to be over. I believe most of us here in the Minneapolis office have already voted, and I'm actually leaving a little early to go do it myself! Today has been sort of strange though... The weather was so nice this morning on my way into work and now it's dark out and looks like it's going to storm? Aside from that, business has been sort of slow and it seems like there aren't as many people out-and-about. It should be the opposite, don't you think?? Especially with all the free or discounted offers out there for voters. Maybe the majority of us are waiting until later to vote? Or maybe we're still making up our minds... I know this is a tough choice for me. I personally don't think either candidate should win, but I'll most-likely end up voting for the one I would rather see in office. I must admit- it does get a little annoying being told to "VOTE" everyday but if you don't, you're not fully exercising your rights as an American. So get out there and do the dang thing!

Vikings vs. Packers Game Almost Here!!

There are only 6 more days until one of our most popular football games of the season is FINALLY here! And you should already know who has the cheapest tickets around.. WE DO!! Starting at just $60 each, I'll bet you haven't seen Vikings Packers tickets this cheap since at least 1995. And after their victory against the Texans yesterday, I think the demand for tickets has definitely increased. We do have a good number of tickets left at the moment, but I do not expect them to last very long. If you want good seats to the game, I'd suggest getting your tickets now. This will be a really fun game so if you've never been to one, this is your opportunity! I'll be working on gameday and can't wait to see all the crazy fans! GO VIKES!!!

All's Quiet on the Western Front

Is there a Minnesota Vikings game today? We're here in the Minneapolis office scratching our heads, because it's super quiet down on the streets of downtown Minneapolis, despite the fact that the Minnesota Vikings kick off in just over two hours. We have not been this slow on a Vikings Sunday...well, ever! I don't know if it's just a lack of support from the fan base (which would just be sad!) or the economy - or maybe people are just out of town for hunting season? But whatever it is, I have to say that I'm really surprised that more of the Minnesota Vikings fans out there haven't taken advantage of all of the Vikings ticket deals that have been available for this game! If you're looking for tickets for today's game, or any other games on the Minnesota Vikings schedule, give us a call at 612-341-4131, and we'd be glad to help you out!

Office Hours Reminder

Since there are a couple big games this weekend, here is a reminder of our office hours at both office locations.

Our Minneapolis office hours are Monday - Friday from 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm and Sundays 10am-noon if there is a Viking game.

Our St. Paul office hours are Monday - Friday from 9am-6pm unless there is a Wild game, in which case we are open until game time. For weekend Wild games, we are open 2 hours prior to gametime, until the game starts.

Wild vs. Canadiens -Tonight!

If you're thinking about getting Wild hockey tickets for tonight's game against the Montreal Canadiens, you still have a little time. Surprisingly, we still have a few tickets left and starting at just $39, that's a deal you can't beat. Don't forget, we also have an office right by the Xcel in St. Paul, so if you can't make it to Minneapolis, stop by our St. Paul office to get your tickets! That location will be open until game time tonight. GO WILD!!

Gophers Football vs. Northwestern

So, I've been wondering why our Gopher football tickets have been selling so quickly for this one certain game. Then I finally just realized it's Homecoming all week for the U of M students! If you plan on going to the homecoming game against Northwestern this Saturday, and you haven't got your tickets yet, you'd better get them now as they seriously may be gone by then! Oh, and it starts at 11 so don't stay out too late trick-or-treating! :)

Wild Tickets Almost Gone!

As we get further into hockey season, we're beginning to see an unusual trend in ticket sales. We're already almost sold out for the games on October 23rd and 25th! It's a little strange that we're selling so fast this early into the season, but it's also very encouraging. We normally don't start picking up in Wild sales until after Thanksgiving. Maybe it's a sign that Minnesota Wild tickets will be a very hot commodity in the ticket market this year! GO WILD!!

FREE Lunch Fridays!

One of the many perks about working at Ticket King Minneapolis, is getting free lunch every Friday! One of our favorite places to order from is Punch Pizza. It's actually grown on me since I've worked here, probably because they force me to eat it every single week. Okay, so maybe they don't.. But they like to give me crap because I didn't want it one day! Of course that was before I knew about the Greco salad, which seems to be the favorite of most of us. At least it's pretty healthy. Not that Mary or Kirsten need to worry about that. I swear those two could eat all day long and never gain an ounce. Luckily for us all, it was free- Thanks Michael & Brian!

Jackson Browne Tickets Sold Out!

For several decades now, Jackson Browne has been selling out shows nationwide. It seems like his popularity has grown a lot over the years. Maybe his fan base is increasing due to his deep-thinking, peaceful and romantic flair? Or maybe it's a combination of his style and his dedication to his career that has made him so popular. Whatever the reason, our Orpheum Theatre tickets for his concert went fast here at Ticket King. Looks like another sold out show for Jackson Browne! If you attended, let me know how it went!

Love In The Air?

So, just in case you don't know who Phil is yet... You better ask Nicole!! The cutest thing happened today- Just as we were giving Nicole our daily dose of Phil-related questions, some guy (no, not Phil) with a special delivery appeared at the front door. I think we all knew what it was and who they were for before the guy said it, but take a guess...

Flowers for Nicole from....... Phil!!

AWWWWW!! I still don't know which was better- The timing of the delivery, or the look on her face when she saw them. I think the rest of us got almost as excited about the surprise as she did. There was also a cute little teddy bear attached to them with a sweet message from her little minion. Maybe he wants to be HER teddy bear? Awwww... Isn't that just the cutest thing you've ever heard?!

That was the highlight of the day here at Ticket King :D

We also got to hear about the spectacular blind date Kirsten went on last night!! Ok, actually it sounded pretty short (shh... so was he)... but not too sweet. After hearing about all the fun he had in high school, the poor girl tried to avoid an akward ending to the night by simply yelling "Bye!" and running to her car after dinner. Haha! I wonder how often this happens... And who sends spanish text messages- hours after the date, when they're wasted anyways??? Unfortunately the poor guy was no Phil so he didn't make it past date #1. Better luck next time Kirsten!!
