Hey hockey fans! Guess what! Ticket King has just added and priced our WCHA Final Five tickets! We have some great seats for both the womens and mens tournament. If you've never been to one of these, I hear the WCHA is a very fun and exciting tournament! I can imagine it is, being that hockey is such an aggressive and competitive sport. Please do keep in mind that if the Minnesota Gophers do well this year, we will have to raise ticket prices. They are currently very reasonably priced but we don't have a ton of tickets either. I would suggest getting yours today while the availability is at it's best and the prices are at their lowest! GO GOPHERS!

Ticket King is Poppin!

This is a picture of the newest addition to the Ticket King Minneapolis office- a popcorn maker! We thought it would be a good idea to get one so we can give popcorn away during Vikings games and also just to have around the office. We tried it today and it tastes just like it does at the movie theater.

Be sure to stop by before the Vikings game to get your popcorn and your tickets to the game! Ticket King is your one-stop shop!

Minnesota Wild vs New York Rangers Tickets

The Minnesota Wild will host the New York Rangers on Friday, October 30; the day before Halloween. This game will be huge! Not only because of the date, but also because Marian Gaborik will be playing with the New York Rangers! Marian Gaborik underwent hip surgery last January and returned in March to play with the Rangers. In July, he signed a 5 year contract with the New York Rangers after talks with the Minnesota Wild ended in a stalemate. If you'd like to see him play against the team he once belonged to, get your Minnesota Wild tickets today before they're gone!

On Sunday, October 4th, from 1 to 4 PM, the University will be holding FREE public tours of the new stadium and an open house. The tours and open house will kick-off the start of homecoming week events leading up to the Gopher vs. Purdue game on October 10th. During the tours, fans will be able to walk on the field, check out the Gopher locker room and sit in the stadium seats. These tours will be the only time the locker room at TCF Bank Stadium will be open to the public so now is your chance!

Vikings vs Seahawks Tickets

You really do feel like a VIP and you don't have to worry about walking 5 blocks to your car after the game. Get your cheap Vikings tickets today before they're gone!

Wild vs Blue Jacket Tickets

Wow! Get this!

Ticket King has Minnesota Wild tickets for the first preseason home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, September 18th beginning at only $10 each!!! The location of the $10 seats would be the second row of the upper level on the players bench side by the face-off circle. This is such a great deal that I am positive these tickets won't last long. If you've never been to a Minnesota Wild game before, this is your chance to see what they're all about! I wasn't very into hockey before I went to my first Wild game but I must admit, they are VERY exciting! This game is probably our least-expensive one so I would suggest getting your tickets now before the good ones are gone.

Also remember that the Minnesota Wild play the Columbus Blue Jackets on a few different occasions this season. There is regular season home game on Tuesday, December 15th and another on Saturday, January 23rd. Don't miss them!

GO WILD!

Minnesota Gophers vs Purdue Tickets

Saturday, October 10th is going to be a big day for the Minnesota Gophers! At 11am, the Minnesota Gophers will host the Purdue Boilermakers at their new TCF Bank stadium for their homecoming game! We have been flying through our inventory of Minnesota Gopher tickets so much that we're considering raising the prices for this game. To guarantee you get the best deal on tickets, I would buy now before the prices go up!

Garrison Keillor Tickets Fitzgerald Theater

Ticket King is actually running pretty low on Garrison Keillor tickets for the show at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. I think his shows will be very close to sold-out, being that the Fitzgerald is a smaller theater for such a popular guy. It's also got a nice intimate feel to it that makes you feel a little closer to the performer. Our remaining tickets currently start at just $80 each and we do have a variety of tickets left for the Saturday performances that run through October 24th. Be sure to check out our tickets and buy them before the good ones are gone- these won't last much longer!

TCF Bank Stadium Parking

With the first Gopher game of the year quickly approaching us, I thought I would share some information on parking for the brand new TCF Bank Stadium. Since most of us haven't been there yet, there are a few things you should know.

First off, please keep in mind that parking
will be difficult to come by, being that the stadium holds so many people and parking around the University is already difficult to come by. Also, remember that there are several parking lots surrounding the new stadium but you must be a season ticket-holder to use any of the parking lots on the east side of the University- unless you buy one from Ticket King, that is. We currently own parking passes to the following lots: 33, 37 and 58. Cheaper options include the Oak Street Ramp or the 4th Street Ramp. We also have passes for the Maroon Lot, located right next to the TCF Bank Stadium and is one of the few lots that allow tailgating. Just remember that we only have a few of these passes for each game, so get your TCF Bank Stadium parking passes today before they're gone!

Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions Tickets

On Sunday, November 15th, the Minnesota Vikings will host the Detroit Lions at the Metrodome for their 4th home game of the season. Our Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings tickets for this game are by-far the cheapest Vikings tickets we're selling this season. Now would be the best time to buy since the season hasn't started yet and prices could go up if the Vikings play well in the beginning of the season. Our ticket prices for this game currently start at only $35 for upper level tickets in the corner, or $100 each for lower level corner tickets. Get yours today before the prices go up!

Gophers vs Michigan State Tickets

This year the Minnesota Golden Gophers play the Michigan State Spartans on Halloween at the brand new TCF Bank Stadium. This will be an evening game, beginning at 7pm. I think this would be an awesome way to spend the early part of your Halloween evening! Especially since it's in the Gophers brand new stadium and the game is at night, unlike most Gopher football games. Prices for this game currently start at only $80 each for upper level tickets or $85 for lower levels. These prices are very reasonable but remember that if the Gophers win their first couple games, prices will increase along with the demand for tickets. If you would like to attend the game on October 31st, I would suggest getting your Minnesota Gopher tickets today before the prices go up!

Owl City Tickets at the Cabooze

Owl City will be coming to the Cabooze on Saturday, September 26th. The last time Owl City was in the Twin Cities, the show was held at the Varsity Theater and sold out pretty quickly! The Cabooze is an even smaller venue, with a capacity of about 800, so I know these tickets will go quick. As a matter of fact, if this show isn't sold out already, I'll be surprised. The Cabooze is a pretty small venue for Owl City, being how popular he is right now. If you would like to attend the show, get your Owl City tickets before they're sold out! These will NOT last very long!

Cheap Gophers Illinois Tickets

Great news Gopher fans!

If you haven't got your Minnesota Golden Gopher tickets to any of the football games this season, Ticket King has very reasonably priced seats for the Gophers vs. Illinois Fighting Illini game on Saturday, November 7th. Ticket prices currently start at only $75 per ticket for upper OR lower level tickets at the Gophers brand new TCF Bank Stadium. This is definitely the most affordable game to attend this football season. I would definitely recommend getting your tickets now though, while the selection is at it's best and the prices are at their lowest. If the Gophers begin the season playing really well, ticket prices will definitely increase so please keep that it mind. GO GOPHERS!!!

Local Events This Weekend

Now that it's officially September, I think it's safe to say that summer is sadly coming to an end very soon. We won't have too many more warm weekends so now would be the time to get out there and enjoy it, especially since there are so many things going on this weekend.

The Minnesota State Fair only goes through Labor Day so if you haven't gone yet, you're missing out! There are a number of concerts taking place there including Casting Crowns tonight; Garrison Keillor tomorrow night; REO Speedwagon and Styx on Saturday night; and lastly Jeff Dunham on Monday night.

Other events this weekend include the Vikings vs. Cowboys game tomorrow night, WWE at the Xcel and Mark Mallman at First Avenue on Saturday. Mary Poppins performances run throughout the weekend as well.

Gophers vs. Air Force Tickets

The very first game of the Minnesota Golden Gophers football 2009-2010 season is coming up fast at only 10 days away, when they host the Air Force Falcons in their brand new home stadium. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the prices for our Gopher football tickets increased slightly for this game. Our inventory is beginning to run low but the demand for tickets is definitely still there. If you still haven't bought your tickets yet but want to attend the game, I would suggest buying them now before the price goes up!
