Next Friday evening (9/4) will be the Minnesota Vikings last preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys before the regular season starts. The Minnesota Golden Gophers will begin their 2009-2010 football season in the brand new TCF Bank Stadium this year. The first home game is on September 12th against the Air Force Falcons. We have been flying through tickets to the home opener game and don't have too many tickets left for it. We've also been going through the 2nd game very quickly against the California Golden Bears as well as the 3rd game against the Wisconsin Badgers. The first few games of the season are going to be so exciting!!

Twins White Sox Tickets

The Minnesota Twins will begin playing the Chicago White Sox series next Monday and will continue through Wednesday. Our prices are currently very reasonable, starting at only $35 each for the lower level home run porch and going up slightly the closer you get to home plate. However, we are considering raising the prices for the White Sox series since the White Sox are just one game ahead of the Twins and this will be the last ever series that the White Sox will play at the Metrodome! We're hoping that the Twins stay in playoff contention too and if so, ticket prices will most-likely increase. So I would suggest getting your Minnesota Twins tickets today, just in case the prices go up for the White Sox series!

Vikings Victory Against Kansas City

Last Friday evening was the Minnesota Vikings first home preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. I was lucky enough to attend the game which also happened to be my very first Vikings game ever! I decided to go last minute and am so glad I did! I got a pair of very reasonably cheap Vikings tickets from Ticket King that were in a great location! The picture above was taken from our seats. They were priced way below face value too. Unfortunately we got there after Brett Favre had already played but it turned out to be a really close game and it was a lot of fun! Thanks again Ticket King!!!

Vikings VIP Parking Passes!!

We have parking passes for tonight's game that are located INSIDE the Metrodome lot- where the players park!! They are currently listed at only $30!! We were selling them for $100 yesterday so this is an EXCELLENT deal!! Parking for any Viking game is usually really difficult to come by unless you want to pay at least $20 or more. So since you're already paying $20, why not pay an extra $10 to park in the same lot as the players???

Gophers Game Day Preview

This Saturday afternoon Gopher fans have the chance to experience the brand new TCF Bank Stadium prior to the start of the 2009 football season. This is normally only available for Gopher season ticket holders and students but TicketKing has Gophers Game Day Preview tickets for sale as well! It will provide the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the best routes to the new TCF Bank Stadium, locate their parking and determine where to enter the new facility in advance of the inaugural game on September 12th.

Once inside, guests will be able to sit in their seats as well as locate concession stands, restroom facilities and other amenities. As an added bonus, attendees will get a sneak peak of the 2009 Gophers during the Maroon and Gold team scrimmage. The scrimmage will last approximately 1.5 hours and begin at 3 PM. TCF Bank Stadium will open at 1 PM for premium seat holders. All remaining gates will be open at 1:30 PM.

To make the game-day atmosphere complete, the Gophers will hold a Victory Walk beginning at 1 PM. Season ticket holders will also be allowed to tailgate in approved lots, beginning at noon.

Favre Coming to Twin Cities!

It's official! - Brett Favre IS joining the Minnesota Vikings after all! I hate to say it, but I KNEW this was going to happen! I could sense his indecisiveness as soon as he came back from retirement. Oh well, I do know that this will be great for our Minnesota Vikings ticket sales and will keep us VERY busy this football season. Today has already been a crazy day and it's not even lunch time yet! Our phones are ringing constantly and we've all been running around like chickens with our heads cut off. But it's actually pretty exciting! The news station just arrived and are setting up to tape us for the evening news tonight! I am a little surprised but definitely grateful that Brett decided to grace us with his presence this Vikings season! Now c'mon Brett, make us proud!!!

Gophers vs. Air Force Tickets

The Minnesota Golden Gophers football team play their very first home game in the brand new TCF Stadium on September 12 at 6pm. It's coming up quick and tickets are going fast! Every ticket we have left is in the lower level and if you've seen pictures or even a tour of the new stadium, you know that ANY seat in the house will be excellent!! Our Minnesota Gopher tickets currently start at $140 per ticket and those are only 10 rows from the field in the lower level!

Just remember that the Golden Gophers are NOT allowing any alcohol in the new stadium this year (which I personally think is rediculous), so just to be safe, please leave it at home.

Rod Stewart Target Center Tickets

Great news for all of you Rod Stewart fans out there! The boss just lowered prices for the Rod Stewart concert at the Target Center next Tuesday! We only have a few tickets left at the moment and they currently start at $140 for front row of the lower level, which are AMAZING seats!! Taylor Swift Target Center Tickets

Wow, Taylor Swift is HUGE right now! Taylor Swift tickets for the show at the Target Center in October just went on sale today. If I didn't know any better, I'd almost say that Taylor Swift is just as popular as Miley Cyrus! We have been receiving tons of calls asking about the show so I thought I would throw some information out there for anyone that's interested. Kellie Pickler will be opening for Taylor Swift, who was the winner of the 5th season of American Idol. The show starts at 7:30 on Sunday, October 11th. We only had a handful of tickets to start with this morning and we are currently down to just two pairs left! They are lower level tickets and are currently $170 each. However, there is always the possibility that we will be getting other tickets in, so don't give up hope just yet!

Also, please remember when ordering online that any of the tickets you see WITH a star next to them are the tickets that we own, meaning you won't be charged any additional fees other than sales tax. Any of the other tickets that do NOT have a star indicate tickets from other sources that usually have hidden service fees.

PGA Championship Almost Over!

This week has been a very busy one for everyone at Ticket King! With the PGA in town, the Twins games and a few other shows going on, we have been keeping extra busy. Today is pretty much the half way point of the PGA Championship at Hazeltine and I must admit, it's been a little hectic at times but also exciting selling tickets to such a huge event. It seems like we've acquired a lot of new customers this week too, which is also a huge plus! Wild vs. Redwing Tickets

We have excellent Minnesota Wild tickets for the two games against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 27th that currently start at just $75 for upper level tickets looking right down at the goal. Lower level tickets for these games currently start at just $120.

The Detroit Red Wings are one of the Wild's biggest rivalries, mainly because they won the Stanley Cup last year. Timberwolves Schedule Released!

Well that was quick. The Minnesota Timberwolves schedule was released late yesterday afternoon, meaning that our Timberwolves tickets are now available for purchase! The Timberwolves first home game will be on October 28th against the New Jersey Nets at the Target Center. Tickets for that game are starting at just $25 each for center court tickets in the upper level. Lower level tickets for that game start at just $70 each. The season runs through April 14th, with their last game against the Detroit Pistons.

Timberwolves vs. Celtics Tickets

The Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Boston Celtics game always seems to be a pretty popular one each year. It's also a pretty big seller for us! The date of the game this year will be on Wednesday, November 4th at the Target Center. Ticket prices for that game currently start at just $90 each for 6th row center court upper level tickets. The best tickets we have for that game would be in the front row VIP center court, right in between the players benches!! Keep in mind that we have that exact location for the majority of our Timberwolves games. It really doesn't get any better than that!

Ticket King Delivering Chickens?

All of us here at Ticket King got a good laugh yesterday when we received a phone call back from one of our customers. Yesterday was my day off but I was still lucky enough to hear the story when I got in to work this morning. Most companies don't call before shipping out their products to customers but here at Ticket King, we know how important it is for our customers to expect their package on a certain day, especially because a signature is required. So we ALWAYS call people to let them know when their package is shipping and we know how much people appriciate this. However, when Mary answered the phone yesterday, she was pretty surprised to hear a terrified woman that was worried that we were shipping chickens to her house, via Federal Express. She was extremely worried that the chickens would die if they were shipped using Federal Express. Fortunately, we advised her that we were actually shipping out the tickets she ordered, not the chickens. I'll bet she was pretty relieved.

Mos Def at First Avenue

Friday evening I went to the Mos Def show at First Avenue and had a blast! The show started a little late but once it got going, it was great! Jay Electronica opened for him. His style sort of reminded me of the well-respected rapper Nas, another one of my favorites. After Jay Electronica performed, I stepped outside for a few minutes and was lucky enough to see Mos Def walk out of his tour bus and go into the side entrance at First Avenue! He had his head down with a hood on but I still recognized him right away. When Mos Def finally came on stage, the crowd went wild! He began his performance playing these huge bongo type drums and played an awesome show for a good hour and a half. He performed a couple classic songs but most of them were newer. I really enjoyed the reggae part of his performance, which I'd never heard him do before. It was a nice change! I'm very happy with the way the show turned out and would definitely go see him again! I also will be sure to get my First Avenue tickets from Ticket King again since they were so reasonably priced and so convenient to buy.

Mos Def Tonight!

Mos Def began his music career in 1994 with a group called Urban Thermo Dynamics before going solo in 1996. Shortly after that, Mos Def and Talib Kweli formed the group Black Star. Mos Def has also been acting since he was 14, with his most notable acting role before his music career being Bill Cosby's sidekick on the short-lived detective show, The Cosby Mysteries. In 1997, he also had a small role alongside Michael Jackson in his short film and music video "Ghosts."

I'll be heading to First Avenue tonight to check out Mos Def! He is MOS DEFinitely one of my favorite underground hip-hop artists. I have a feeling this will be an amazing show! Mos Def has a pretty distinct style in his lyrics that I can't help but enjoy listening to. He's worked with so many other very talented artists and has made some awesome collaborations. It's also my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow and he's probably as much of a Mos Def fan as I am. Since neither of us have seen him before I think it would be pretty foolish if we missed our chance to tonight. I'll be sure to post a review after the show!
