American author, radio personality, humorist and storyteller Garrison Keillor is best known as the host of the Minnesota Public Radio show A Prairie Home Companion. Garrison graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1966, where he began his broadcasting career on the student-operated radio known today as Radio K. Garrison was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1994 and opened his own independent bookstore in 2006. These are just a couple of his many lifetime accomplishments.
