Free TCF Bank Stadium Tours

The University of Minnesota will open the gates of the brand-spankin-new TCF Bank Stadium the day after the Minnesota Gophers welcome the Wisconsin Badgers into the new stadium. On Sunday, October 4th, from 1 to 4 PM, the University will be holding FREE public tours of the new stadium and an open house. The tours and open house will kick-off the start of homecoming week events leading up to the Gopher vs. Purdue game on October 10th. During the tours, fans will be able to walk on the field, check out the Gopher locker room and sit in the stadium seats. These tours will be the only time the locker room at TCF Bank Stadium will be open to the public so now is your chance!

TCF Bank Stadium Parking

With the first Gopher game of the year quickly approaching us, I thought I would share some information on parking for the brand new TCF Bank Stadium. Since most of us haven't been there yet, there are a few things you should know.

First off, please keep in mind that parking will be difficult to come by, being that the stadium holds so many people and parking around the University is already difficult to come by. Also, remember that there are several parking lots surrounding the new stadium but you must be a season ticket-holder to use any of the parking lots on the east side of the University- unless you buy one from Ticket King, that is. We currently own parking passes to the following lots: 33, 37 and 58. Cheaper options include the Oak Street Ramp or the 4th Street Ramp. We also have passes for the Maroon Lot, located right next to the TCF Bank Stadium and is one of the few lots that allow tailgating. Just remember that we only have a few of these passes for each game, so get your TCF Bank Stadium parking passes today before they're gone!

The Minnesota Golden Gophers will begin their 2009-2010 football season in the brand new TCF Bank Stadium this year. The first home game is on September 12th against the Air Force Falcons. We have been flying through tickets to the home opener game and don't have too many tickets left for it. We've also been going through the 2nd game very quickly against the California Golden Bears as well as the 3rd game against the Wisconsin Badgers. The first few games of the season are going to be so exciting!!

Gophers Game Day Preview

This Saturday afternoon Gopher fans have the chance to experience the brand new TCF Bank Stadium prior to the start of the 2009 football season. This is normally only available for Gopher season ticket holders and students but TicketKing has Gophers Game Day Preview tickets for sale as well! It will provide the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the best routes to the new TCF Bank Stadium, locate their parking and determine where to enter the new facility in advance of the inaugural game on September 12th.

Once inside, guests will be able to sit in their seats as well as locate concession stands, restroom facilities and other amenities. As an added bonus, attendees will get a sneak peak of the 2009 Gophers during the Maroon and Gold team scrimmage. The scrimmage will last approximately 1.5 hours and begin at 3 PM. TCF Bank Stadium will open at 1 PM for premium seat holders. All remaining gates will be open at 1:30 PM.

To make the game-day atmosphere complete, the Gophers will hold a Victory Walk beginning at 1 PM. Season ticket holders will also be allowed to tailgate in approved lots, beginning at noon.

The long-awaited completion of the new TCF Bank Stadium has finally arrived! The Minnesota Gophers now have their own stadium to play in- and boy does it look nice!! I've been driving by it about once a week since the construction began and I'm amazed at how quick it was put up and how awesome it looks! We've been fortunate enough to get some great seats for the upcoming Gopher football season and they have been listed and priced! Of course we don't have the physical tickets yet but it won't be too long before they arrive.
